Week 7 - Set 13th May
I hope you have had a lovely weekend, enjoying the wonderful sunshine once again. I hope you all managed to celebrate VE Day at some point over the weekend too!
This week would have been SATs week if we were in school. Although most of you won't mind not sitting the tests, some of you might feel worried or disheartened that you weren't able to show us what you know. Please remember that you worked brilliantly hard in school this year and all of your teachers are so proud of you. Try to enjoy your learning at home this week and talk to your parents/carers if you are worrying about anything.
Just a reminder that you are not expected to complete every task on the overview sheet. There are 5 tasks for Maths and Writing (and GPS tasks that link to the Writing). You should try to complete one task in each of these areas each day and also a reading task every day. For the rest of the curriculum areas, I have set a range of activities so you can choose what you would like to do.
I have extended the deadline for the book review competition so if you have not already written your review from last week, try to write it by the end of the day on Tuesday and ask your parents to send your work to firstname.lastname@example.org to be entered into the competition. Thank you to those who have already sent me your fabulous reviews! There is also a Maths competition this week; you can find more information about this on the task overview sheet (no deadline set just as yet as you will need time to complete the tasks first).
Have a fab week!
