Moderate and Hard

Phonics

This week, we will be learning alternative graphemes for the 'ee' phoneme. Today, let's revise spelling with the 'ee' and 'ea' graphemes.

Lesson 1 - Long Vowel ee and ea

Print the first two pages of the document below. Cut out the words and jumble them up. Pick up the words one at a time, read them and then put them in piles according to their grapheme. Now give the two piles to a grown up or older sibling. Close your eyes and ask them to choose a word to read aloud. Can you tell them whether it has the ee digraph or the ea digraph?

Lesson 2 - e-e split digraph

Lesson 3 - ie digraph for ee

Lesson 4 - y as ee
