This week, we will be learning alternative graphemes for the 'igh' phoneme.

 

Day One

Today, let's revise words which are spelled with the 'igh' grapheme. Watch the video and then tackle the challenge below.

Now let's remind ourselves about the split i_e digraph. In the activity below the video, there are lots of different challenges which get steadily harder. Pick two depending on how confident you feel.

Day Four

Today we will practise writing words with a letter 'y' at the end when it makes the 'igh' sound. The activity below the video has two pages but they are both the same. One is colour and one is black and white to save ink.
